Patrick Murray just sent out some campaign emails. You know what that means: Time for a Fact check!

If Murray is the eventual nominee, he needs to find somebody else to send his emails. If you guys think I’m being mean, wait until the Democrats start attacking Murray.

PART 3: The Bus Tour

Patrick Murray recently announced a “Time to Lead Bus Tour.” However, in the email he claims, “This is a first in Virginia’s 8th District.”

That statement is FALSE. Former Congressman Stan Parris used to do bus tours in the district in a bus owned by Gant Redmon, a former 8th District Chair. I guess a guy who has only lived in the 8th district for less than a year shouldn’t make sweeping historical claims.

PART 4: Follow the Money

In the very same email, the Murray campaign said, “we’ve organized an expansive grassroots effort that exceeded past congressional campaigns on Memorial Day by 4 to 1..” Hmm. I’d love to know how you’ve come up with that. If you look at his latest FEC Reports, you see that he only has $14,817 cash on hand, compared to Matthew Berry’s $45,927. Murray is also  $20,000 in debt!

I’m not buying the statement “we’ve organized an expansive grassroots effort that exceeded past congressional campaigns on Memorial Day by 4 to 1..” For a bit of added comparison, let’s see what Matthew Berry is touting in his emails.

Hmm…I don’t see any of those things in the Murray campaign’s emails.

PART 5: The The Phantom Menace

I’m referring yet again to the pro-life issue. Recently, Murray announced the endorsement of  Congressman Steve King, a “National Pro- Life Leader.” However, it looks like someone changed their mind. Read this, the initial endorsement. After that, take a look at this, the updated version, offering “support.” Notice all pro-life language has disappeared.
