Former candidate for Congress Mark Ellmore has endorsed Patrick Murray for Congress, saying,

The current political environment provides 8th Congressional District Republicans with the best opportunity in years to beat Jim Moran and to return fiscal sanity to Congress.  As you know, I had hoped to again carry our banner in that fight but personal and professional commitments precluded that opportunity….

I support Patrick because he has served our country in a leadership capacity and he fully understands the unique and diverse community that comprises our 8th District. He has an immediate connection and affinity with the large military community here in Northern Virginia that sustains our local economy.

Additionally, Patrick is a reliable Federalist conservative who believes in respecting the limitations our Constitution places on the federal government.

We must ask: Is this a good thing for Patrick Murray? Ellmore has had considerable drama within the party and still has opposition. I guess we’ll see.

However, Murray  did endorsement from Combat Veterans for Congress. While expected, that’s a good endorsement to have. He’s even having a Veterans Fundraiser with some high profile guests! Check it out:
