It seems like all VA campaigns for Gov, Lt. Gov, and AG on both sides are trying to win the youth vote. Everyone knows that the best way to do this is through facebook, twitter, youtube, and blogs.

So I thought to myself, which candidate is doing best in the internet wars? Who has the most twitter followers? Who has the most facebook fans or people in their facebook groups? Summary:

Gov:

Best: Bob McDonnell. Out of the Democrats, I’d say that Terry McAuliffe is leading. McDonnell knows what he has to compete with, and he’s doing a great job!

Worst: Criegh Deeds. Doesn’t even look like he is putting any effort into it, and his blog widgets are terrible.

Lt. Gov:

Best: No one. I would say Mike Signer, but he is leading only on facebook.

Worst: Bill Bolling: Despite this, he is busy being Lt. Gov, so we should cut him some slack. I’m sure he’ll win the internet war starting around the convention and on to the Fall.

AG:

Best: No one. Foster is doing good on Twitter, but needs to increase facebook outreach. Cuccinelli seems to be doing pretty well on Facebook.

Worst: Steve Shannon. Website just launched, and it is WAY to complicated for someone running for AG.
